About Paul Sellers

Paul Sellers has dedicated his life to the education of fellow woodworkers from every walk of life and of every skill level. As a lifelong woodworker with over forty five years experience in furniture making, woodworking and woodturning, Paul teaches, lectures and demonstrates on many woodworking topics at a wide range of venues both here in the UK and also in the USA.

When he’s not teaching, Paul continues to design and build furniture pieces from his home workshop in North Wales. He serves as founder and director of the New Legacy School of Woodworking in the UK after teaching, writing and lecturing in the US for over two decades.

After developing a comprehensive foundational course for the development of hand tool skills in woodworking, Paul has successfully trained over 2,500 enthusiasts. Many woodworkers now find significantly higher levels of fulfilment and a more thorough understanding of their craft by incorporating these traditional hand tool methods into their everyday woodworking.

As an internationally recognised master craftsman, teacher and author, Paul regularly contributes articles on various topics to specialist woodworking magazines both in the UK and in the US. You can find his articles in Woodwork, Woodworking West, Popular Woodworking, The Woodworker, Traditional Woodworker and Good Woodworking and others.

Paul continues to lecture and demonstrate on hand tool woodworking as part of his ongoing desire to restore those traditional methods and skills that prove as viable for today’s woodworkers as they did for craftsmen through centuries past.
